Nova Scotia RCMP have initiated a multi-agency search for a missing person in Colchester County near the Harmony Road area.
UPDATE: As of 2:55 p.m., RCMP say a vulnerable person alert has been issued for all of Pictou and Colchester counties as well as East Hants area for Jason Lorette.
RCMP say Jason Lorette was last seen on March 19 in Salmon River. He is described as a 47-year-old man who is 5-foot-11 and 140 pounds. He has brown hair, a white goatee, and walks with a noticeable gait.
Lorette was reported missing on March 20.
Ground search and rescue teams from Colchester County, Pictou County, and East Hants as well as the Civil Air Search and Rescue Association, (CASARA) have been working with the RCMP’s air services and police dog services in the search.
Residents are asked to avoid the immediate area.
