Situated at the head of the Bras d'Or Lakes, Whycocomagh is an ideal location for water activities, boat tours and ceilidhs, featuring traditional Scottish and Mi'kmaq talent.
Join us for ceilidhs, milling frolic, dances, canoe races, ball, hockey, soccer tournaments, street fair, and concert during the Whycocomagh Summer Festival.
MONDAY JULY 16TH:
10-12 Noon: Gaelic Language Workshop for all ages; Cameron Hall Goodwill donation.
7:00 pm: Twist and Shake: Ease into the week with yoga stretches with Kelly; relax to a 1973 soundtrack; back deck at the Waterfront Centre; enjoy a healthy shake as the sun sets. $10.00 includes shake; students $5.00.
TUESDAY JULY 17TH:
10-12 Noon: Gaelic Language Workshop for all ages; Cameron Hall; Goodwill donation.
10:00-12:00 noon: Crib Tournament; Join the walking gang at the Whycocomagh Waterfront Centre; Goodwill offering.
12:00-3:00: Public Swim: Fair Isle Motel; parental supervision required for 12 & under; no lifeguard/washroom facilities
6:30 pm: Family Hike on TCT off Johnson Lane(Gather at Fire Hall). Exit at MacInnis Road then keep on to Skye River Trail. After hike enjoy a Cape Breton Style Campfire Singalong behind Waterfront Centre - “Along the Shores of Hogoma”. All welcome; free

10 am-1pm: Gaelic Workshop at the Cameron Hall, free admission.
1:30-2:00: Water Blaster; Whycocomagh Provincial Park. Bring your own water gun/towel. Younger children require a guardian. no Charge.
2:00-4:00: Strawberry Shortcake Festival; Cameron Hall; $5.00
8:00-10:00 pm - Family Square Dance; Tribute Night For Burton MacIntyre; Waterfront Centre; Admission $5.00 or $20.00 per family.
THURSDAY JULY 19TH:

11:00 am: Golf Tournament - Baddeck Forks; includes barbecued steak dinner at Waterfront Centre: $75 per individual, or $300 per team.

3:00-4:00: Teddy Bear Picnic; Whycocomagh Provincial Park; rain Why Fire Hall; all bears welcome, please bring your own people; Theme: “Its a Bear Affair; no charge.
