Officials with the Strait Regional Centre for Education say they’re trying to get grade 12 students what they need to graduate.
School across the province remain closed until- at least- April 5.
SRCE officials, who declined our request for an interview, say they’re opening schools to teachers, school-based staff members and grade 12 students by appointment only Wednesday through Friday.
In an email to The Hawk, they say the limited access will allow staff members and grade 12 students to pick up the essential technology they’ll need to work from home.
Officials say anyone self-isolating, either due to COVID-19 symptoms or travel outside Nova Scotia, will not be permitted to make an appointment, and will have to make alternate arrangements to retrieve their essential technology; social distancing and hand-washing protocols will be in place during this process.
They say they’re also working on plans to support students in every grade to learn from home, which they’ll share in the coming days.
