The creator of the Cape Breton Kindness Facebook group says it’s important to come together and help one another in times like these.
Chuck Boudreau says he got the idea while talking with his fiancée as the COVID-19 pandemic was ramping up in March.
He says they created the group shortly after.
Boudreau told The Hawk Morning Show it connects people in need with people who can help.
“We’re focused on seniors or those who are immunocompromised- any reason that somebody just can’t leave the house,” he said. “We’re able to look to help them out.”
Boudreau said they connect those people with volunteers who can run errands for them and get them what they need, including groceries and prescriptions.
He said it’s all about promoting kindness and positivity, while helping people from Cape Breton.
