
The province confirmed another death due to COVID-19 on Saturday.
That brings the total number of deaths in Nova Scotia to 47.
The death occurred at the Northwood long-term care home in Halifax Regional Municipality.
In a press release, Nova Scotia’s chief medical officer of health said “whatever you do this weekend, don’t let your guard down.”
Dr. Robert Strang went onto say “enjoy the outdoors with only those you live with and connect with others virtually.”
The province also confirmed three new cases of COVID-19 and the total across the province is now 1,011.
Seven individuals are currently in hospital, including two in the ICU.
The QEII Health Sciences Centre microbiology lab completed 598 tests on Friday and is operating 24-hours a day.
Nova Scotia has 33,190 negative test results and 743 individuals have now recovered and their cases of COVID-19 are considered resolved.
