
The province confirmed three new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday.
That brings the total number of cases in Nova Scotia to 1,047.
Eight individuals are currently in hospital, including four in the ICU.
The QEII Health Sciences Centre microbiology lab completed 665 tests on Friday and is operating 24-hours a day.
Nova Scotia has 35,703 negative test results and 930 individuals have now recovered and their cases of COVID-19 are considered resolved.
In a press release, Premier Stephen McNeil says fellow Nova Scotians have to follow social distancing rules if we want the province to open back up.
McNeil says “Our actions this weekend and every day going forward, will determine how quickly we can reopen our province in the weeks and months to come.”
There has been no new COVID-19 cases in the Eastern Zone since last weekend.
