Nova Scotia has no new cases of COVID-19 to report today, although it still has two active cases in the central zone.
The cases are travel-related and were identified Friday. The affected people have been in self-isolation since returning from travel.
The new cases came on the same day as masks were made mandatory inside all public places as of Friday.
Health Minister Randy Delorey said that the mask order will not be enforced initially, but people who don’t follow the order could be fined under the Health Protection Act.
People who have medical issues that prevent them from wearing a mask are exempt, as are children under two or children under five who won’t wear one, or can’t be made to wear one.
The Atlantic Bubble breakdown is; four active cases in Newfoundland and Labrador, two active cases in Nova Scotia, and two active cases in New Brunswick.
Prince Edward Island currently has no active cases.
