Police have charged a British Columbia woman for violating the Public Health Act, after an Inverness Co. restaurant was shut down.
On Monday, Inverness RCMP charged a 38-year-old woman for not self-isolating for 14 days after entering the province from outside the Atlantic travel bubble.
That carries a $1000 dollar fine.
The Route 19 Brewing Tap and Grill has been closed since Monday when they were notified the woman had been at the restaurant around noon on Sunday.
Route 19 Brewing reps say there’s been a full deep cleaning, but they don’t know how much longer they’ll have to stay closed.
They say they’re working with public health reps on when they can reopen.
