COVID-19 has led to the cancellation of another popular local event.
Officials with the Town of Antigonish and Antigonish Co. say they’ve made the difficult decision to cancel their annual Santa Claus parade and tree lighting event.
They say they made the decision after careful consideration, and based on the advice of public health officials regarding gathering limits.
Municipal officials say they’re working on a revised list of holiday events, and they’ll provide more information in the coming weeks.
