The province has its first school-based cases of COVID-19.
One is at Graham Creighton Junior High in Cherry Brook, the other at Auburn Drive High in Cole Harbour.
Public health officials say neither person was in school Monday, and both are self-isolating at home; they didn’t clarify if the cases were students or staff members.
They say everyone in a class where a confirmed case attended is being tested and asked to self-isolate for 14 days.
The new cases bring the provincial total of active cases to 25.
Premier Stephen McNeil and Dr. Robert Strang, the province’s chief medical officer of health, will provide a COVID-19 update at 3 p.m. Tuesday.
