There are six new cases of COVID-19 in the province.
Five are in the central zone- three are close contacts, one is travel-related, and the other is under investigation.
There’s also a close contact case in the eastern zone.
Public health officials say one of Monday’s cases in the central zone has been removed from our totals because it will be counted in another province.
Just one recovery means we’re up to 36 active cases.
Meanwhile, Premier Iain Rankin has announced residents of Newfoundland can come to our province without having to self-isolate upon arrival, and without having to complete the Nova Scotia Safe Check-in form, effective 8 a.m. Wednesday; our border was already open to residents of New Brunswick and PEI.
He says residents and travelers must continue to follow all public health measures while in our province.
Rankin says malls, retail businesses and fitness facilities can return to operating at 100 per cent capacity with physical distancing.
He says sports practices, training and games, and arts and culture rehearsals and performances can have 75 people; spectators continue to be allowed at these events, except when they are held at schools.
