Inverness Co. RCMP have fined two people $2,422 for breaking COVID-19 restrictions.
RCMP say the pair had recently come into the province and had stopped responding to calls from Public Health officials.
Police say officers went to the residence listed on the two people’s isolation plan twice on the evening of May 5, but no one was home either time.
They say officers returned the next morning and fined both under the Health Protection Act for failing to self isolate.
