Employers in the province are being offered free asymptomatic COVID-19 test kits.
Premier Iain Rankin says it’s an important part of the province’s new workplace testing plan.
“[It] supports the provincial reopening plan by adding an extra layer of protection to prevent the spread of the virus in workplaces,” he says. “Nova Scotia continues to be a national leader in asymptomatic testing, and everyone should make getting tested a regular part of their routine.”
Officials say 275 businesses, with more than 50,000 employees, have already signed up.
They say the free kits, provided through the federal government, will help employers develop regular asymptomatic screening for their staff.
