A new nurse training facility is coming to Acadia University.
The province announced a state-of-the-art building is expected to open in 2026.
The province says the nearly $14-million facility will help graduate 63 nurses every year.
The building will include a dry lab, clinic teaching spaces and simulation rooms.
This will allow Acadia to obtain accreditation for a full, permanent nursing program.
About half of the nursing seats in the program will be designated to Mi’kmaq and other Indigenous people, and African Nova Scotians.
