It might be a longer wait to get home for the holiday’s.
A snow storm is causing slick roads and delays at airports.
It started snowing Tuesday morning and Environment Canada says it will end overnight or early Christmas morning.
Western mainland Nova Scotia and Cumberland County to the Minas Shore could get 15 to 25 cm. Amounts will be lower for coastal communities, where snow is likely to be wet or change to rain.
Central and northern areas of the province can expect 5 to 15 cm.
Southern New Brunswick could see between 15 and 25 cm, or even as much as 40 cm in some areas before it ends Tuesday night.
This comes after a weekend storm dumped as much as 30 cm in parts of the region, disrupting trips to see family and friends for many.
If you’re heading to catch a flight or pick up a visitor at the airport, be sure to check your flight status and give yourself time to allow for slippery road conditions.
