If you don’t mind the rain in the forecast this long Victoria Day weekend, you can start exploring some provincial parks.
It’s opening weekend for seven of the province’s 20 camping parks, the rest will open by June 6.
They include Rissers Beach, Porters Lake, Graves Island, Thomas Raddall in Queens County and Ellenwood in Yarmouth County.
The province says over a million people visited the parks last year, with over 95,000 paid overnight stays.
Campfires and smoking aren’t allowed in day-use parks, and people at camping parks must follow the daily burn restrictions.
