Allegations of a hate-motivated assault in Eastern Passage.
RCMP say a 39-year-old man and a youth were arrested on May 4 after two people were found with serious injuries near Cow Bay Road.
Police seized items like fishing hooks and a metal pipe, the assaults happened while the victims were fishing for gaspereau.
One of the people assaulted suffered life-threatening injuries.
The youth is facing four charges and remains in custody, the man was released on conditions and will be in court next month.
RCMP say witnesses allege it was hate-motivated, and are continuing their investigation.
