Diesel prices in Nova Scotia will jump 6.3 cents at midnight, according to a social media post from an industry insider.
Diesel will go from a minimum price of $1.406 a litre to $1.469 a litre.
Gasoline won’t change, maintaining a minimum price of $1.39 cents a litre and a maximum of $1.41 a litre.
The province’s Energy Board says they will invoke the interrupter clause at midnight, which means they will set the weekly price outside of the normal time.
The interrupter clause is used to respond to significant impacts on global trade, including economic and geo-political factors or the weather.
