The Halifax Convention Centre is in the international spotlight.
Atlantic Canada’s largest multipurpose meeting and event space has been named “World’s Greatest Convention Centre” by a Bloomberg Network program.
It is featured on World’s Greatest, a popular television series which highlights outstanding companies, products, and services around the globe.
The venue won the casting call by showcasing community impact with its Local Program, service excellence, and the city’s growing appeal as an international destination, according to an Events East Group release.
“We are thrilled to be named the World’s Greatest Convention Centre,” said Suzanne Fougere, Executive Vice-President. “We know our commitment to partnership and collaboration sets us apart and has earned us an international reputation. We are pleased to share this story, and we invite viewers to come experience all that our region has to offer.”
Since opening in 2018, it has hosted more than 1,000 events, welcomed half a million guests, and generated more than $325M in economic impact for Halifax and Nova Scotia.
Filmed in Halifax this past June, the segment profiles the convention centre’s menu which features over 100 food and beverage suppliers from across Nova Scotia.
Premier Tim Houston, Minister Colton Leblanc, and Mayor Andy Filmore also appear on the show.
Episode #401 highlighting the Halifax Convention Centre first aired in the United States on September 6th. It will be available to Canadian viewers online after September 13th.
