Conciliation talks between the Board of Governors at Dalhousie University, and the Dalhousie Faculty Association (DFA) ended Tuesday afternoon after a day and a half of bargaining, with no new meetings set.
In an update on their website, Tuesday evening, the University said talks resumed at 1 p.m., then the conciliator ended the session just three hours later.
This followed a full day of conciliation talks, Monday.
The university locked out members of the Dalhousie Faculty Association on Aug. 20 -the union went on strike two days later.
They are fighting to get better wages and working conditions, especially for Dal faculty on limited term appointments.
They often work those temporary contracts for years before they get a permanent position, and they have to re-apply for the contract every year.
Most classes have been suspended since students returned to campus Sept. 2.
On Wednesday last week, conciliation officer Rick Rose asked both sides to return to the table.
