A school in the Quad Counties was locked down for nearly an hour.
In an email sent to parents Tuesday night, officials at East Antigonish Education Centre-Academy say they called the code blue at the Monastery school as the result of a behavioural incident involving a student in the afternoon.
Richard Britten, the school’s principal, says the lockdown was implemented through their school emergency management plan.
Britten says school officials called 911 and local RCMP responded.
He says the lockdown, which lasted roughly 50 minutes, was lifted, and normal school activities resumed.
