During today’s briefing, Premier Stephen McNeil updated the public on vaccine rollout.
“This week we expect to receive over 10,000 doses of Pfizer vaccine,” said McNeil. “Public health will be spread across the province setting up clinics in Antigonish, the South Shore and Cumberland.”
This will also be McNeil’s last week in the briefing. His final briefing is Friday.
Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Robert Strang remarked that the province has not seen daily case numbers above 2 since January.
“It is a reminder of the vulnerable position that Nova Scotia is in. All we need to do is look at our neighbors in Newfoundland,” said Strang. “We must stay the course and continue our cautious and vigilant approach to preventing the spread of COVID-19 in Nova Scotia.”
