We have our first school-related case of COVID-19 in the Quad Counties.
Public health officials reported a case connected to SAERC in Port Hawkesbury Tuesday night.
They say they’ll be in touch with any close contacts of positive cases and advise of next steps, including testing; everyone who is a close contact will be notified, tested and asked to self-isolate for 14 days.
Officials say they recommend all students and staff members get tested; no self-isolation is required unless you’ve been identified as a close contact or have symptoms.
That school- like the rest in the province- moved to at-home learning Wednesday; a deep cleaning of the building will be done.
Public Health has confirmed a case of COVID-19 at SAERC.
