A 33-year-old man from Kingston faces impaired driving charges after police responded to an ATV collision on Main St. in Kingston.
A child was passenger on the ATV.
On August 14, at 3:40 p.m., Kings District RCMP received a call of an ATV roll over on Main St. Upon arrival, members located the driver and a child nearby.
The driver showed signs of impairment, failed a roadside screening test and was arrested. The child was treated by EHS for non-life threatening injuries.
The driver was taken to Kingston RCMP Detachment, where he provided samples of his breath.
The driver was later released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Kentville Provincial Court on November 26 at 9:30 a.m. to face charges of Impaired Operation of a Conveyance, Operating a Conveyance with a Blood Alcohol Concentration Over 80 mg% and Impaired Operation of a Conveyance Causing Bodily Harm.
